Ray Olson
Regional Engineer at Midco
Board member since 2002
I have been in the cable industry for over 39 years. I started in Milbank SD working for TCI as an installer. I have held several positions over the years. In 1991 I became a technical operations manager having several title changes until 2005. With the merger between TCI and Midco in 2000 and I transferred to Wahpeton. In 2005 I joined the engineering department as a maintenance technician. In 2012 I moved to West Fargo. In 2014 I became a field engineer in West Fargo. In 2021 I was promoted to Regional Engineer.
I joined the Dakota Territory SCTE board in 2002 as Treasure. After a short time in this position, I became a director at large and began maintaining the chapter website, which I continue maintaining. I enjoy the work I do for the chapter and being a part of the board. I also purchase the cable game gift cards and the drawing prizes each year for the vendor days. If elected I will continue to update the website to keep current information available and assist in selecting the prizes for the vendor days each year. I will also assist with social media. I hope to continue supporting the chapter as a director.
Thank you for your consideration.

Mike DeZotell
Maintenance Technician III
Midco
I am a maintenance technician with over eight years of experience. I have recently completed the necessary courses to receive Master Technician through NCTI. I enjoy tackling complex challenges and ensuring that our system operates efficiently and reliably. My dedication to precision and problem-solving has allowed me to build a reputation for quality among my peers. I take pride in balancing my career and personal life, staying dedicated to my craft while cherishing time with my loved ones. Both fuel my passion for growth, adventure, and lifelong learning.
Outside of work, my family is my greatest priority and joy. I have been happily married to my wife for nine years, and together we are raising our two children. We love spending time together, especially during the summer when we go camping as often as we can. From hiking and campfires to exploring nature, camping has become one of our favorite traditions.
